Review of Kaspersky Antivirus by Anti-Virus-Review.Net:

Kaspersky Personal Antivirus provides the most comprehensive protection against all known and not-yet-known viruses we encountered in this review. It didn't miss any viruses, we liked its responsiveness, and the wide of array of user options made this program the best that we tested.

This software was able to pick up the nastiest of trojans that we obtained from many sources that weren't even noticed by all of the other contenders. The software was able to pick up a compresed file riddled with viruses and the support for compressed types of files was unrivalled. The heuristic scanning was the best as well, much better than the previous version of the software. Kaspersky was also able to detect incoming and outgoing email worms in Outlook and Outlook Express and provides script protection. Finally, Kaspersky has ISCA Certification and the most VB100% awards with ones for Windows XP, 2003, and NT.

The user interface was very usuable for novices but the notable because it provides a wide array of advanced selections for the more technical users. Many features of the interface had been greatly improved, making easy things easier, from the previous version an indication that developers at Kaspersky are moving forward. This interface was very good and hopefully will get even better.

Installation was a breeze and the software installed very quickly. The software takes up very little hardrive space and was an easy download.

Help was also readily availiable and quick to respond to our questions.

Summary:

Kaspersky Personal Antivirus was the most effective antivirus protection that we tested. It provided protection against some of the nastiest viruses we tested against with a highly usuable interface and speedy scan times. This software provided the all around best antivirus protection.
